Hung around with Xin Yun in the music room before Min Wen came. Then Najwa and Ah Yuan arrived. Some of the juniors came not long after too.
The juniors carried the instruments and yes, they should. It's part of growing up - naturally. ;)
The van was late because the driver was late, and we got a call from the master of bronze pots after about half an hour from the designated time saying that the driver just left to pick us up. Nice.
So a few of the juniors left with the instruments in the van while Puan Rozi headed there with the remaining kiddos. The seniors - Xin Yun, Min Wen, Ah Yuan, Najwa and myself will stay at school to wait for the van to make a second trip to fetch us to Naza Hotel.
Okay, so honestly, we were bored to death.
Okay, so maybe I was the one who was bored to death.
Therefore, taking pictures and a video, talking pure crap, moving along to the beats of songs courtesy of Najwa and just me whining how starved I was were some ways of passing time while waiting for the van to come for us.
This is Ah Yuan.
This is also Ah Yuan. :D
This is Puan Rozi coming over to then later tell me off on my madness.
Our madness. xDD
In case you have difficulty understanding the dialogue, or if you can't understand Chinese, please refer to my simple guide to understanding our madness here, and what I was thinking in my POV:
-start of video.-
Moi: *in Chinese* ..two, three! (I was telling Ah Yuan I was taking a picture of her, instead I was taking a video.) Ah Yuan: *starts playing the tambourine.* Moi: Ah Yuan, look at the camera! Ah Yuan: *looks* Moi: Say hi! Ah Yuan: Hiii! Najwa: *laughs at Ah Yuan's retarded-ness* Moi: Do you know you're on video? Najwa to Ah Yuan: Like retarded like that.
Najwa: *continues commenting on Ah Yuan's retarded-ness* Moi: *in Chinese* Come, Min Wen! Xin Yun! Say hi! Xin Yun: Hi! Min Wen: Hallo! Moi: Yay~ (I was happy that I was getting a response from these people.) Ah Yuan: Say hi la, you say hallo!
Moi: *in Chinese* This is teacher's car, and she's leaving soon! Ah Yuan: Eh, they(Syazani and Shuhaila) follow teacher! Moi: Yalor, we're going to be alone here. We're going to be alone here.
Min Wen: *in Chinese* Eh, you know what is this? Moi: *iC* What? (We all know. I'm just playing along.) ;D Min Wen: *iC* This is what that Encik Nadzar uses to 'kok, kok, kok, kok' the caklempong.
Moi: Okay, Bhangra dance by Najwa and Ah Yuan. Ah Yuan: *iC*Min Wen, faster! Min Wen: *iC* What faster? *soons get it anyway.* *dance and instruments start getting in sync.*
After awhile.. Moi: ..epic fail.
Moi: Okay la, no more memory already, say bye! Najwa and Ah Yuan: Bye~! Moi: *iC* Come, say bye! Min Wen and Xin Yun: Byebye!
-end of video.-
After a hell lot of whining from me and five to six vans later, the great kak and abang are finally here to get us!
This is Xin Yun and Min Wen.
This is Ah Yuan who was caught in this candid just as she was about to laugh at something Min Wen did. Najwa is right next to her.
The kak and abang. Abang is the one driving, while kak is in charge of us kids.
Random pair of kiddo slippers.
Made a stop at this hotel near Naza Talyya Hotel to drop the kak there, but the abang soon brought us to the hotel.
Saw Rozi, the wife of the master of bronze pots and some of the juniors that had already finished their breakfast. Jealous much!
But oh well, the staff had to wait for us to finish taking our share before they clear up everything for lunch.
I then whined some more because I regretted not taking a second helping before they cleared all the food up. I didn't know they were waiting for us. Dx
One of the staff was really funny. Said that she'll join us performing instead of working and perform some silat. Cool person. :]
After waiting for me to finish up, since I took the most food and time to finish eating, we all went up to the ballroom to settle the arrangement of the instruments. And suffer from the terrible humour of the two managers there. For gawd's sake, they were really lame. And they were hell good at it.
I know everyone will agree with me.
Some of our baju kurung on the rack. It was being pushed around by nearly all the staff who were in the ballroom.
The pretty pretty folded napkins.
Next, Rozi entrusted the key to Room 316 to the one and only responsible leader of the pack Xin Yun, and off we all go.
After us entering the room and acting all unsightly about it, according to Rozi, the senior gang went to see the swimming pool, and boy did we regret not bringing an extra set of clothes.
It's supposed to look nicer than this in real life, I swear.
I couldn't resist, there was such a hair-shampoo-ad kind of wind blowing my way. ;D
The mini bar next to the pools. Candid of Najwa here. Went back to the room 'cos it started to rain.
This is Sze May.
This is our room number, with Min Wen's hand being an obstruction of sight to those inside. Room service please!
The seniors conquered the two single beds while the juniors were left sitting at the side. We watched 'The Yang Sisters' on Channel 5 and a lil' bit of 'The Best Bet' on Channel 8 before changing and then heading to the ballroom once more.
Min Wen then complimented me on how well I knew the TV schedules. XD
I did inform Ah Yuan beforehand that the picture quality is going to be super bad 'cos we had to zoom in.
Okay, so after performing, standing in heels for a long time and chomping on two huge helpings of spaghetti, which we later found out was beef and not chicken, it's back to the room and get our stuffs and enjoy our personal room for the last time.
Man, I really did liked that room.
We, the seniors later found out that the remaining juniors that stayed in the room during the performance were splashing water here and there in the bathroom and made a huge mess of the place. We just couldn't leave them alone for a moment.
Min Wen and me! I did tell her there's going to be more her than me. :D
I really really want this in my future room. Sze May would agree. ;D That's Min Wen there by the way.
The so-called romantic lights. Very random picture. Heh.
I wanted a mirror picture, but there was nobody to take it with me. So here I am!
The two paintings here are.. fascinating.
We were fighting over the cute orange cushions and bolster. I got it to myself for awhile. ;)
Finally we were asked to leave our room and on the way down to the first floor, we bumped into one of the lame guys that were in charge of the programme earlier.
He was being lame, as usual.
His lady friend apologised to us on how lame he was. The conversation went like this, and everybody in the lift could hear us:
Nice Lady Friend: Sorry yer, dia ni memang camni la. Moi: Yeah, takpe. Kite dah memang tau dari tadi. Memang tak salah. Nice Lady Friend: *laughs.* Lame Dude: Hey! *shushes me.* Moi: Hey, it was just the truth. All of us already know that. Lame Dude: *makes faces at me.* Moi: *walks out of lift, proudly.* Moi to friends: *in good humour* I really couldn't stand him anymore. It's time he got a taste of his own medicine!
So here ends Day 2!
Will blog about today..tomorrow. Or rather, later maybe. xD
And just in case you all had forgotten how I looked like..
Hello there! You must have guessed by now – this is Leonie here, and I have no intention of boring you out with a long introduction of yours truly.
I have to admit though – I’m quite an interesting individual; those who know me can confirm that, and those who don’t…I don’t mean to brag, but you’re definitely missing out!
Feel free to click here to get to know me a little bit better! No worries, I’m very friendly and I won’t bite!
Meanwhile, enjoy reading the Fool in Frames!
Baring It All.
My name really is Leonie.
It’s not an English name I came up with for myself. My mother is indeed a genius in coming up with such a splendid name for me. Although my name has been unfortunately mutilated (nicknames are excluded) over the past years, full credits to my mum for my current identity.
I’m a cancer patient.
I’m certainly looking forward to changing the word ‘patient’ to ‘survivor’! If you’re interested to read about my journey in battling lymphoma, you can click here to proceed to my cancer blog.
Green is my favourite colour.
Ironic, I know; this blog is mainly pink instead. I like all colours actually, but I find myself having an affinity to the colour green. In fact, I can safely say that green is my soul colour.
I’m an art-appreciator.
Languages, music, fashion, photography, cultures, dance, literature, writing; just about anything, really. The arts truly intrigue me, especially thought-provoking pieces. Of course, the arts play a major role in inspiring me in my everyday life.
You’ll find me carrying a book to just about everywhere.
I don’t have a favourite genre – I read any book that interests me!
I found out that I’m actually a left-hander.
I am a trained right-hander from young, since apparently being left-handed is considered ‘wrong’. Basically, I’m ambidextrous! No wonder I find it easier to air guitar using my left hand than my right; I simply relate to the arts than subjects that deal with logical thinking better, too.
Taurus is my astrological sign.
A stubborn Bull I am, too. I abhor being rushed. I prefer doing matters at my own reasonable pace. I don’t particularly like changes in my routine, but I can adapt quite easily. I’m a very practical person as well. I enjoy the beautiful things in life, but that doesn’t make me shun ugliness at all. Besides, it all depends on how one perceives beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
I’m a born perfectionist.
Still am, but I’m slowly learning to accept imperfection into my life. Also, I’m doing my best to erase the many expectations I have so I could one day master the art of letting go and freeing myself to simple happiness and joy.
A natural drama queen.
Compared to before, I’m less dramatic nowadays. Language-wise, I attempt to blog flawlessly in English and speak proper English online with my peers. Call me a Grammar Nazi all you want, but that’s how I roll. I only converse in perfect English in formal situations and during my dramatic outbursts. Otherwise, I’m absolutely capable of communicating like the average Malaysian!
It’s a pleasure to learn and discover new things.
It’s a different issue altogether when you’re forced to learn for the sake of getting good grades, though. Other than that, I’m open to new information and knowledge anytime! I especially would like to learn more languages and pick up new musical instruments.
Travelling around the world, participating in artistic photoshoots, performing in a band, writing a book…
…are just some of the things I would love to do in the near future, hopefully!
When it comes to social relationships,
the basic rules apply. If you respect me, I’ll respect you. If you happen to be someone who has low EQ skills, I’ll try to be tolerant but my patience is definitely limited. I’m observant when it comes to human behaviour. I’m a person of many opinions, but I don’t voice them out unless I trust you enough; I’m very honest and candid when it comes to the people I can trust. Even though I trust very easily, not everybody can prove that they’re all that nice. Hurt me, and I’ll only defend myself if necessary. Hurt my family or my friends – you won’t find me holding back.
Is there anything else you would like to know about me?
Throw me your questions and/or doubts here! I honestly have nothing to hide, so you’ll expect the truth and nothing but the truth.
It’s only how I phrase my answers that you’ll have to be aware of.
