Heart y'all that wished me and are giving/gave me pressies.

I really appreciate them loads. It's the thought(s) that really counts to me.

But what made the day a whole lot better, it's those sincere hugs, my class singing the birthday song for me, Najwa going around with a paper cup asking some school peeps to sign on it for me, Amoi being so nice to me for once, and not having to enter class at all for the photography session the whole day earlier. Christina's surprise call was also one awesome thing that she did for me. Ahaks.

Calling Cai Ling darling and just talking to her about everything under the sky just about made my day even better, what more with that sweet text, or should I say - WARNING that I received a few minutes after midnight.

Dinner with my family was pretty okay as well.

My brother said I looked constipated in the photo I took with my dad just now.

There will be a more detailed post on this ay-sap.

I'm seriously sleepy at the moment.

Once again, hearts from this psychedelic human to those that love her for who she is.

Question 1 : What do you do if you are in the bathroom with a beetle flying around?
I'll tell the beetle off, and rename it "Pervert!" Then wonder whether the beetle is a male or a female. Next, shrug the fact that I probably won't ever know whether it's a male or female, but zap myself back to reality and think that that beetle most probably got lost and flew into the bathroom by mistake. I'll open the window after I'm done doing whatever it is in the bathroom and off the lights in my room as well. Insects are naturally attracted to light you see.

Question 2 : What do you do if you hear a song you like playing on the radio when you are all alone in the room?
This happens almost all the time - Sing along of course if it's a catchy tune. If it's something that has an upbeat rhythm to it, I'll hit the floor with the most random moves my legs can think of. If it's a rock song, I'll most probably do an air-guitar or an air-drumming gig. Something melancholic? Sit in a corner of my room and listen to those lyrics carefully and intently.

Question 3 : You want to speak to your crush badly. What is your pick up line?
I don't use any pick-up lines for gawd's sake. That just disrupts my flow a hell lot. But actually, I'm the kind of girl that waits for the guy to make the first move. So yearh, basically - no pick up line.

Question 4 : What do you do if all your friends hate a particular band that you love?
Who cares about what they think about my choice of music. I'll most probably be humming the tune or singing the song out loud all day long hence making them sick of me. Hahah.

Question 5 : What do you do when you trip and fall in front of many people?
Get up and just try to forget about it. If I fell down in front of good friends though, I'll most probably laugh it off with them. Laughter is the best medicine to rid oneself of the embarrassment and pain from the fall.

Question 6 : You forgot to do your multiple-choice question homework (the one whereby you have to choose 1 out of 4 options given to you as your answer) and it had to be submitted in 5 minutes. What do you do?
Panic attack! Try to read through the questions as quickly as possible, and circle whatever that seems logical at that time. Or..beg for a friend's help. Eheh.

Question 7 : You have bad breath and someone speaks to you. How do you react?
Option 1 - Find mints immediately.
Option 2 - Gulp down some mineral water immediately.
Option 3 - Excuse myself from said conversation first to solve the bad breath problem pronto.

Question 8 : You just finished gym and after a shower, you drop your clean clothes on the wet floor. What do you do?
Curse a hell lot while picking those clothes off the floor like, IMMEDIATELY. I'll have to wear those clothes, don't really have a choice right?

Question 9 : What do you do if a personality quiz says that you have a lousy personality as your result?
Compare the results with my own personality, and then the truths I remember, the untruths..I'll gradually forget about them. I have more in life than some random results from a personality quiz. Personalities change all the time.

Question 10 : Your friend gave you the worst gift you have ever received and asks, "Do you like it?" How do you react?
If it's a close friend from school or tuition, I'll tell them that I not only like the gift, but LOVE it. I'll give them a big bear hug and squeal like a little girl and say my thanks non-stop. Then again, reactions differ with different friends and company. Heh.

Question 11 : (Continued from question 10) What are you really thinking secretly inside?
This is most probably going to be left in a drawer and soon to be forgotten. At least they remembered my birthday AND bothered to take the effort to get me something. But this had never happened before, so yeah. Lol.

Question 12 : A hot guy/girl keeps looking at you while you are on the bus. What are you secretly thinking inside?
I'll most probably think they're checking me out 'cos they find me either hawt, or look anything but ordinary. Either that, or maybe something on me is just out of place.

Question 13: Your crush and you are eating dinner together, the food you've ordered came first, you do not want him or her to look at you eating while his or her food hasn't arrived. What will you do?
Don't eat first, like duh. It's table manners and the right etiquette?

Question 14 : You are alone in your house and you realized that there is a burglar. What do you do?
Start praying damn hard to cool my head so that I can think of some escape plan. Make sure all important documents and some cash are taken and try to get out of the house and call my parents ay-sap. Don't think this will happen to me yet, and hopefully not, 'cos my parents had never left me home alone before, and they would never ever will do so.

Question 15 : What do you do when your best friend had just spoilt your favourite one and only camera with all the important photos you cherished inside?
Send the camera for repairs. If that camera really can't be salvaged anymore, mourn for that camera and if that best friend has actually got a heart, he/she will try to make up for it.

Question 16 : What do you do when you receive a call from a kidnapper and your friend is in their hands?
Oh gawd. I'll listen to all of the kidnapper's instructions first, and then seek help and advice immediately. 'Cos I don't think I can do much saving that friend myself, most probably going to make everything a hell lot worse, so..can I actually approach the police in this case? You know what, I really hope that these kind of events won't ever happen, so I'm going to pray real hard that stuff like this actually DON'T happen to my friends. So there.

Question 17 : What do you do if you break your friend's favourite vase but he or she didn't saw it?
"OMG, how did that vase collapse and broke all of a sudden??" *prays that there was a lot of people there or it was a windy day*

Question 18 : You were told to buy carrots by your mother, but you forgotten it and went back home with garlic. How will you explain to your mother?
My mum will either take the chopper and come after me or she'll just say I'm really old, forgetful, and practically unreliable. She'll most probably go buy the carrots herself in pure frustration. I'm so sorry mumsie..DX

"Oh man, I missed the last episode of *insert name of TV show here*! Who cares."

Go for the wedding first. Then attend the funeral. Attending the funeral first definitely wouldn't be considered at all, because I wouldn't want to look all mopey and sad at my friend's wedding. A once in a lifetime thing for him/her okay. Don't play play.

SIGS had a Musical Jambouree earlier.

According to Puan Yew, we made history with the first East Meets West music concept in Johor Bahru, with the instrumental ensemble of Caklempong and Gamelan with our school's famous brass band. It was a pretty awesome experience, and we're going to perfect it even more, 'cos we're doing it at a higher level next year. What more with Puan Hajah Norizah saying she wants it big next year. So we shall see then.

Before the performance though, Amoi approached me all of a sudden.

And of course, after being in the same class with Amoi for almost four months now, I'd naturally expected her to come and bug me with some minor matter to get me all frustrated and annoyed, in a good manner of course.

Instead, what I got was totally out of the blue and sudden for me at that time.

"Leonie, are you okay?"
Okay, flabbergasted much?

Initially, I thought, this should be easy to answer, of course I'm okay. Like..why shouldn't I be?

Problem is, it took me a whole ten seconds or so to try and process an answer for her.

There and then, without answering yet, Amoi just embraced me in the corner of the hall, not a care whether anyone else were looking or not.

"Leonie, why are you not okay? Is something wrong? Ah Yuan said you have unbalanced emotions. So I want to make sure you are okay before I leave for camp."
I swear upon my life, I was so touched, I was tearing up at the spot.

Because I know very well, Amoi would only speak to me in English with that strong Malay accent of hers, for only two reasons.

One, is definitely to annoy the hell out of me.

Secondly, and the most likely, is to make sure I can get her loud and clear, since she knows I can't speak half as normal and smoothly in Malay than in English.

Of course, Amoi is hardly this super nice to me, and me alone. So this was a rare occasion indeed.

But really..so far, she was the only one who made such a huge effort to make sure I was okay.

So, I merely answered..


And I never thought I would actually talk to Amoi like this again, unless I was possessed. Or like that time when she was almost sent to Sekolah Teknik.

Amoi just went "awwwww.." and gave me a huge bear hug.

Though, obviously she still wasn't convinced that I was even anywhere near okay, so she offered me a snack she bought from the stall, telling me that she won't be here to take care of me for a few days, so this is to remind me of her.

Man, I never felt better after so many days of what seems to be endless suffering and mental torture, all in one emotionally unstable human.

Thanks Amoi..just for being there when I needed it.

And thanks Ah Yuan..for noticing that I had unbalanced emotions and telling Amoi about it.

I guess this sums up a few things.

When Leonie gets emotionally unbalanced in school, it means that Leonie really couldn't cope anymore. 'Cos from what I'd evaluated from my own behaviour in school, I don't usually throw a tantrum or ever had a bad mood, unless I'm really sick and stressed about something or more. I normally try to keep it all in me, and put on that smile to show to everyone that I was fine. So yeah..it's quite easy actually to notice the change of emotions in me.

Another thing is, normally the people that you aren't really very close to are the ones that would really lend you a helping hand when you need it. The people that are right next to you, and said that they are willing to hear you out, you would rant at them. Too bad, the next minute you realized, it's either you're rudely interrupted or just plainly ignored by them just starting another conversation, not bothered with your difficulties and just moving on with theirs.

Last but definitely not the least..

I am fully aware it's the test season now and I'm still sitting here blogging away, not a care for the world.

Okay, fine. So maybe I do care.

So why am I blogging today, when I still have Chemistry, Math and EST tomorrow?

• I got told off by Puan Habibah for not distributing the newspapers for only ONE DAY. I admit, it is my responsibility, so maybe I do deserve it. But, I'm honestly so sick and tired of life, literally, and what more with tests and all, I got really pissed and frustrated. If it wasn't for Min Wen who persuaded me to distribute today's newspapers, I would had just left it there for Puan Habibah to settle them herself. Puan Habibah also tried to speak to me nicely in the staff room, but all I could remember was giving her loads of fake smiles and laughs. I honestly hate being a prefect, if I had a choice, I wouldn't had been one in the first place. Stupid cert.

• Apparently I was supposed to skip all my tests for today to go for debate practice in the library for the whole day. At least..that's what Fairuz and Najwa did. Guess what? I sat for the tests instead. To be really honest, even if I couldn't answer any shit in those papers and literally made myself an unofficial historian by rewriting the definitions of all the history terms that were tested in this test and making up my own history as well for the entire subjective section, I felt comfortable sitting in class surrounded by familiar faces rather than facing a very furious Miss Nav, Sherylee and Nicole. Why wouldn't Fai and Najwa be mad at me? Well..only they know the real reason about me backing out from the main team among the rest of them debate people. So yeah, I think I can count on them.

Speaking of Miss Nav, she hasn't been letting me off this easy.

Since The Huge Drama I had with her after having her cornering and ranting at me in the school's parking lot, with both students and teachers witnessing it all at the same time, I can tell you, my self-esteem had gone from bad to worse. I'd never felt good about myself debating, knowing I'm not a smooth talker like Nicole, or fierce and sharp like Sherylee, nor have the professionalism of Najwa who's an experienced speaker and Fai who's really calm and concise when she speaks. I'm not very spontaneous either, and the way I speak and how I present myself while speaking is atrociously rude and insanely horrible. I also am the main reason why we almost lost to SDJ till Nicole saved us from the losing end by bringing us up by 3 points with her wonderful reply speech. I'm the worst speaker in the team, and if only Sherylee could join the main team but all because her parents don't allow her to join debate this year, she wouldn't had to choose me.

And believe it or not, Miss Nav said all of that to me. Right to my face.
I mean, I'm this bad, so yeah, what's the point on me staying on?

At one point after The Huge Drama, I considered staying on in the team for the sake of the cert. But, other things just had to happen. Family problems occurred (No further elaboration here. If you're really a friend and you do care about me, ask me yourself. PATY.) and transport to and from school would be an issue. I can't stay back as often as what debate really requires and I really don't want to trouble my family anymore, especially my mum. Who's practically working her brains out till she's pretty worn out and really stressed by the end of the day. I really don't want to add to her troubles either, so yeah, I didn't go for Sunday's debate meeting 'cos this all began on the same day.

Next day in school, I was pretty much brain dead, sleeping for only..2 hours? I couldn't bear with the exhaustion and decided to come clean with Miss Nav. I told her the truth and that I wanted to pull out from debate because I'm honestly worried I cannot give her the full commitment she wants from her debators.

Instead, she didn't let me pull out first. She only replied that we'll have to wait for Sherylee.

Right then, when Sherylee came up to the library, Miss Nav asked her to be the team's third speaker, replacing me. And I admit, I was slightly relieved as I thought I can put debate behind me for this year, not endure Miss Nav's continued criticism on me and me only and comparing me to the other speakers, and get on with life, try to study, and work on other things that doesn't require this much commitment.

You know what?


As per usual.

Miss Nav made me the reserve instead.

I wanted to tell her no, but before I could say anything, she just moved on by bringing up the motion for the round against Convent.

And there was me.

Those few seconds of freedom, gone.

In a flash, in a snap.

I didn't go for another debate meeting after that, till the day of the semi-finals. I saw Miss Nav in the morning when I was sorting out the newspapers, and she merely told me to inform Najwa and Fai to go to the hall straight away after the morning assembly.

Fine, I just passed her message like she asked me to.

So, I went for classes like usual. Approximately two hours later, a girl came up and told me that Miss Nav wanted me at the hall. NOW.

I knew very well what to expect.

More rantings?

More criticism?

More biasness?

Lots were going through my head at that time.

And there she was in the hall.

First thing when she saw me, here comes those words.

Miss Nav : Leonie, where had you been?? I told you to come down at 7.30AM!! Where were you??
Leonie : (trying to tell her she DIDN'T tell me to come down at all, but seeing that she was furious and knowing that I'm on the losing side, since she hated me so much, I decided on another excuse.) I had to see Puan Hajah Afrinah and a few other teachers just now.

Truth : I did see Puan Hajah Afrinah okay. She was coming in for History just as the girl came up to call me. So I told her I had to leave the class for debate, and she was asking me all sorts of questions like who was our next opponent. I told her it's going to be Convent, and she was really supportive in a way, telling me all the best and what not and said that she really hoped that we can beat Convent at long last after losing to them few years in a row. About the few other teachers part, I am telling the truth indirectly. Not see the few other teachers as in they had matters they wanted to discuss with me, but more to I saw the teachers teaching me in class :x

Miss Nav : Seeing Puan Hajah Afrinah took you two hours?? That long?? Are you sure??
Leonie : *tries to retaliate and defend myself, but..*
Miss Nav : Leonie, are you still a part of this team?? Are you abandoning the team?? You see, everybody is working so hard except for YOU.
Inner Leonie : Oh what the freak, I already told you before, dearest teacher, that I couldn't give my full commitment to debate like before, so I volunteered to pull out since I was that useless to the team and besides, you had the third speaker you wanted back in the team again. What do you gain from me staying on in the team? And you're accusing ME?? Oh yearh, you freaking didn't tell me I had to be at the hall!! So there!

There's more after that, but I decided not to type them here as it would seem like I'm a huge Sherylee-hater or something. For your information, especially to some of the Form 5 seniors in my school that think I'm such a problematic human which a lot of you dislike, I don't hate her. I merely treat her as a senior. That's all. It doesn't mean I have to be all buddy-buddy with her and win her favour to be my friend. If this is offensive to you guys, I sincerely apologize, but when you guys talk about me that way, I get offended too okay. I have feelings too, in case y'all happen to not know.

Okay, back to the main topic. Before any of you judge me on what I wrote about Miss Nav..

Miss Nav might want to keep me as the reserve because :

1. Of The Good. She didn't want my previous effort in the team to be wasted, as I had and did spoke in the first two rounds we went through, so she wanted me to stay for the cert's sake.
   
2. Of The Bad. She's only going to keep me in to find stats, edit scripts, think of possible POIs, find more stats, and then crack my skull thinking of possible POIs. Or she might just need a pushover, aka yours truly, to be her frequent punching bag whenever she's pissed or stressed out.
3. OF BOTH.

Frankly, I say it's the third option.

Okay, for The Good, I thank you. And that's about it.

The Bad?

You're not the only one who'll get stressed out. You're not the only one who needs to rant. You're not the only one who wants us to be the champs for this debate competiotion. You're not the only one who has so much work to do in school. You're not the only one who'll get angry and pissed.

And if you really wanted Sherylee in the team in the first place, why even bothered picking me, the useless debator who's nothing but a burden then?

I admit, Sherylee is better than me, I had never denied it. But you're just making me feel worse about myself, and not any better, knowing very well being in the English debate team is quite an honour.

I'm sorry, but I feel very caged with you around, and frankly, I have no idea on how to survive with you for another two years in this school with you.

Say what? Joining debate next year?

Definitely, I don't know what the future holds for me, but for now, and my mind is quite made up. If this year's chaos and hectic life is going to be similar to 2010, my answer would be..



And, if you people think I'm just being a selfish idiot who only cares about myself, I can assure you I'm not.

You guys might think, "Hey, Miss Nav might be criticizing you to help you improve, knowing you have potential, etc.," the likes.

Yearh, right.

I admit, I make mistakes. All humans err. But everybody else in the team seem so perfect in her eyes, and I just feel like trash.

Owh, I hear more.

"Miss Nav might be treating you this way, but you're just being weak by whining about it. This should be something to help you be stronger about such comments. And you're giving up debate for someone like her? It's not worth it."

But hell yeah, I think it's really worth it. If I can even get my arse out of the debating arena.

At least I don't throw a temper when I'm moody or tired or stressed at other people and make them feel bad about themselves at the same time.

Finals against SSI tomorrow, and I don't even know whether I'm still in the team or not, since I had been outrageously sick these past few days and had been unavailable when Miss Nav had been calling me. On my phone, yesh.

I rather not, but yeah, if I'm still in, I have to face Miss Nav and Sherylee and Nicole all day.

Definitely not looking forward to that at all.

Life sucks, and hardly anybody can understand.

Yippee.

Lately I had been falling sick so often. On and off fever, the flu. I blame it all on the current stress level I'm at now. With a very unstable emotional side of me all locked up, nobody to confide the full story in.

In any case, yours truly is proud to announce here that she'd FINALLY finished her three long overdue Chemistry essays from Mr Lim's class.

Took me quite some time there, goodness gracious.

And it's almost 2AM, and I have Chemistry and Add Math tuition later in the morning.

Oh gawd, I'm so going to fall asleep in class again, I swear.

Mr Lim, I finished your essays okay, so please don't comment on me not being able to keep my eyes open during class in front of the whole class, please and thank you.

And with this movie tag, what can be summarized is as of the following:

• Yes, apparently this tag it says that whoever that watched more than 100 movies don't have a life, but I personally think that I'm the one who don't have a life 'cos I watched less than 100 movies. But yeah, honestly there's loads of movies I'd watched but they ain't listed here, so yeah.

• I seriously dislike horror movies, due to my own powerful imagination. By rights all of them should not even have any X's at all. I watched Child's Play in primary school and I'd officially been traumatized by dummies and creepy looking dolls ever since. Seed of Chucky was on at my aunt's house years ago when I was around eight I think, and apparently, all of my cousins enjoyed it except me. I nearly cried. I actually watched a little of Bride of Chucky, but since I didn't finished watching it..In any case, I watched Shutter last year on the way to KL for the Bon Odori trip, and for gawd's sake it was freaking 4AM at that time. Thank goodness for the people called friends, especially Jasmine Ho who was sitting right next to me. Watched Anaconda 2: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid with my dad on Channel 5, so that wasn't as scary as I thought. Just the way that snake gobbles people up, that's gross. And I don't get at all why is The Mask a horror / gore movie. It's a comedy in my opinion. Lol. Basically..I hate watching horror movies. Period. No offense to horror fans out there.

Where the pace of reality..
is at the speed of light.
Another week had gone by, and it's already April, goodness gracious indeed.

I have a very packed schedule, no thanks to homework, tuition, school obligations and trying to get some air from being in this cage of almost sixteen years. Cai Ling dearie would clearly know what I mean.

And I just realized that since 2009 started, or maybe since a long time ago, my blog entries mainly revolve around the fact that I'm damn tired / frustrated / annoyed / miserable / exhausted because of homework / tuition / school duties / more homework.

I know, my life sounds pathetically boring and uninteresting at this juncture.

Hence, this proves enough that yours truly can never be the next ultimate blogger, due to very not news-worthy blog entries.

Pfffft. Saddening indeed.

Therefore, Leonie also highly doubts getting the UrbanBomb Award for Best Blog from hers truly Veena Banana for the year 2009 as well.

I seriously need a sane mind, sane life, and sane self to get myself back into the blogging mood again.

Today..was another great day with friends. And this certain individual as well, who never fails to be there for me when I'm at the lowest of lows. Sincerest thanks =) Though I'm still pretty convinced I'm doomed. Lol.

Also, I'm super proud of the drama team. You guys did a great job working your arses and frying your brains for the competition, and spending time together as a team is what matters. I'm really proud of y'all aye :]

Going for Add Math and BM classes before succumbing to debate practice really made my day.

It’s not an English name I came up with for myself. My mother is indeed a genius in coming up with such a splendid name for me. Although my name has been unfortunately mutilated (nicknames are excluded) over the past years, full credits to my mum for my current identity.

I’m certainly looking forward to changing the word ‘patient’ to ‘survivor’! If you’re interested to read about my journey in battling lymphoma, you can click here to proceed to my cancer blog.

Ironic, I know; this blog is mainly pink instead. I like all colours actually, but I find myself having an affinity to the colour green. In fact, I can safely say that green is my soul colour.

Languages, music, fashion, photography, cultures, dance, literature, writing; just about anything, really. The arts truly intrigue me, especially thought-provoking pieces. Of course, the arts play a major role in inspiring me in my everyday life.

I don’t have a favourite genre – I read any book that interests me!

I am a trained right-hander from young, since apparently being left-handed is considered ‘wrong’. Basically, I’m ambidextrous! No wonder I find it easier to air guitar using my left hand than my right; I simply relate to the arts than subjects that deal with logical thinking better, too.

A stubborn Bull I am, too. I abhor being rushed. I prefer doing matters at my own reasonable pace. I don’t particularly like changes in my routine, but I can adapt quite easily. I’m a very practical person as well. I enjoy the beautiful things in life, but that doesn’t make me shun ugliness at all. Besides, it all depends on how one perceives beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Still am, but I’m slowly learning to accept imperfection into my life. Also, I’m doing my best to erase the many expectations I have so I could one day master the art of letting go and freeing myself to simple happiness and joy.

Compared to before, I’m less dramatic nowadays. Language-wise, I attempt to blog flawlessly in English and speak proper English online with my peers. Call me a Grammar Nazi all you want, but that’s how I roll. I only converse in perfect English in formal situations and during my dramatic outbursts. Otherwise, I’m absolutely capable of communicating like the average Malaysian!

It’s a different issue altogether when you’re forced to learn for the sake of getting good grades, though. Other than that, I’m open to new information and knowledge anytime! I especially would like to learn more languages and pick up new musical instruments.

…are just some of the things I would love to do in the near future, hopefully!

English tea, green tea, Chinese tea, herbal drinks, chrysanthemum tea, Milo, guava juice, pink guava juice. Even mineral water is alright as long as it can quench my thirst. Malaysia's weather is crazily hot and dehydrating, as everyone should and would know.

To achieve ultimate self-expression and make the best of me in this lifetime.

The study room.

Reading fashion magazines.

Heart y'all that wished me and are giving/gave me pressies.

I really appreciate them loads. It's the thought(s) that really counts to me.

But what made the day a whole lot better, it's those sincere hugs, my class singing the birthday song for me, Najwa going around with a paper cup asking some school peeps to sign on it for me, Amoi being so nice to me for once, and not having to enter class at all for the photography session the whole day earlier. Christina's surprise call was also one awesome thing that she did for me. Ahaks.

Calling Cai Ling darling and just talking to her about everything under the sky just about made my day even better, what more with that sweet text, or should I say - WARNING that I received a few minutes after midnight.

Dinner with my family was pretty okay as well.

My brother said I looked constipated in the photo I took with my dad just now.

I'm seriously sleepy at the moment.

Question 1 : What do you do if you are in the bathroom with a beetle flying around?
I'll tell the beetle off, and rename it "Pervert!" Then wonder whether the beetle is a male or a female. Next, shrug the fact that I probably won't ever know whether it's a male or female, but zap myself back to reality and think that that beetle most probably got lost and flew into the bathroom by mistake. I'll open the window after I'm done doing whatever it is in the bathroom and off the lights in my room as well. Insects are naturally attracted to light you see.

Question 2 : What do you do if you hear a song you like playing on the radio when you are all alone in the room?
This happens almost all the time - Sing along of course if it's a catchy tune. If it's something that has an upbeat rhythm to it, I'll hit the floor with the most random moves my legs can think of. If it's a rock song, I'll most probably do an air-guitar or an air-drumming gig. Something melancholic? Sit in a corner of my room and listen to those lyrics carefully and intently.

Question 3 : You want to speak to your crush badly. What is your pick up line?
I don't use any pick-up lines for gawd's sake. That just disrupts my flow a hell lot. But actually, I'm the kind of girl that waits for the guy to make the first move. So yearh, basically - no pick up line.

Question 4 : What do you do if all your friends hate a particular band that you love?
Who cares about what they think about my choice of music. I'll most probably be humming the tune or singing the song out loud all day long hence making them sick of me. Hahah.

Question 5 : What do you do when you trip and fall in front of many people?
Get up and just try to forget about it. If I fell down in front of good friends though, I'll most probably laugh it off with them. Laughter is the best medicine to rid oneself of the embarrassment and pain from the fall.

Question 6 : You forgot to do your multiple-choice question homework (the one whereby you have to choose 1 out of 4 options given to you as your answer) and it had to be submitted in 5 minutes. What do you do?
Panic attack! Try to read through the questions as quickly as possible, and circle whatever that seems logical at that time. Or..beg for a friend's help. Eheh.

Question 7 : You have bad breath and someone speaks to you. How do you react?
Option 1 - Find mints immediately.
Option 2 - Gulp down some mineral water immediately.
Option 3 - Excuse myself from said conversation first to solve the bad breath problem pronto.

Question 8 : You just finished gym and after a shower, you drop your clean clothes on the wet floor. What do you do?
Curse a hell lot while picking those clothes off the floor like, IMMEDIATELY. I'll have to wear those clothes, don't really have a choice right?

Question 9 : What do you do if a personality quiz says that you have a lousy personality as your result?
Compare the results with my own personality, and then the truths I remember, the untruths..I'll gradually forget about them. I have more in life than some random results from a personality quiz. Personalities change all the time.

Question 10 : Your friend gave you the worst gift you have ever received and asks, "Do you like it?" How do you react?
If it's a close friend from school or tuition, I'll tell them that I not only like the gift, but LOVE it. I'll give them a big bear hug and squeal like a little girl and say my thanks non-stop. Then again, reactions differ with different friends and company. Heh.

Question 11 : (Continued from question 10) What are you really thinking secretly inside?
This is most probably going to be left in a drawer and soon to be forgotten. At least they remembered my birthday AND bothered to take the effort to get me something. But this had never happened before, so yeah. Lol.

Question 12 : A hot guy/girl keeps looking at you while you are on the bus. What are you secretly thinking inside?
I'll most probably think they're checking me out 'cos they find me either hawt, or look anything but ordinary. Either that, or maybe something on me is just out of place.

Question 13: Your crush and you are eating dinner together, the food you've ordered came first, you do not want him or her to look at you eating while his or her food hasn't arrived. What will you do?
Don't eat first, like duh. It's table manners and the right etiquette?

Question 14 : You are alone in your house and you realized that there is a burglar. What do you do?
Start praying damn hard to cool my head so that I can think of some escape plan. Make sure all important documents and some cash are taken and try to get out of the house and call my parents ay-sap. Don't think this will happen to me yet, and hopefully not, 'cos my parents had never left me home alone before, and they would never ever will do so.

Question 15 : What do you do when your best friend had just spoilt your favourite one and only camera with all the important photos you cherished inside?
Send the camera for repairs. If that camera really can't be salvaged anymore, mourn for that camera and if that best friend has actually got a heart, he/she will try to make up for it.

Question 16 : What do you do when you receive a call from a kidnapper and your friend is in their hands?
Oh gawd. I'll listen to all of the kidnapper's instructions first, and then seek help and advice immediately. 'Cos I don't think I can do much saving that friend myself, most probably going to make everything a hell lot worse, so..can I actually approach the police in this case? You know what, I really hope that these kind of events won't ever happen, so I'm going to pray real hard that stuff like this actually DON'T happen to my friends. So there.

Question 17 : What do you do if you break your friend's favourite vase but he or she didn't saw it?
"OMG, how did that vase collapse and broke all of a sudden??" *prays that there was a lot of people there or it was a windy day*

Question 18 : You were told to buy carrots by your mother, but you forgotten it and went back home with garlic. How will you explain to your mother?
My mum will either take the chopper and come after me or she'll just say I'm really old, forgetful, and practically unreliable. She'll most probably go buy the carrots herself in pure frustration. I'm so sorry mumsie..DX

Go for the wedding first. Then attend the funeral. Attending the funeral first definitely wouldn't be considered at all, because I wouldn't want to look all mopey and sad at my friend's wedding. A once in a lifetime thing for him/her okay. Don't play play.

SIGS had a Musical Jambouree earlier.

According to Puan Yew, we made history with the first East Meets West music concept in Johor Bahru, with the instrumental ensemble of Caklempong and Gamelan with our school's famous brass band. It was a pretty awesome experience, and we're going to perfect it even more, 'cos we're doing it at a higher level next year. What more with Puan Hajah Norizah saying she wants it big next year. So we shall see then.

Before the performance though, Amoi approached me all of a sudden.

And of course, after being in the same class with Amoi for almost four months now, I'd naturally expected her to come and bug me with some minor matter to get me all frustrated and annoyed, in a good manner of course.

Instead, what I got was totally out of the blue and sudden for me at that time.

"Leonie, are you okay?"
Okay, flabbergasted much?

Initially, I thought, this should be easy to answer, of course I'm okay. Like..why shouldn't I be?

Problem is, it took me a whole ten seconds or so to try and process an answer for her.

There and then, without answering yet, Amoi just embraced me in the corner of the hall, not a care whether anyone else were looking or not.

"Leonie, why are you not okay? Is something wrong? Ah Yuan said you have unbalanced emotions. So I want to make sure you are okay before I leave for camp."
I swear upon my life, I was so touched, I was tearing up at the spot.

Because I know very well, Amoi would only speak to me in English with that strong Malay accent of hers, for only two reasons.

One, is definitely to annoy the hell out of me.

Secondly, and the most likely, is to make sure I can get her loud and clear, since she knows I can't speak half as normal and smoothly in Malay than in English.

Of course, Amoi is hardly this super nice to me, and me alone. So this was a rare occasion indeed.

But really..so far, she was the only one who made such a huge effort to make sure I was okay.

So, I merely answered..


And I never thought I would actually talk to Amoi like this again, unless I was possessed. Or like that time when she was almost sent to Sekolah Teknik.

Amoi just went "awwwww.." and gave me a huge bear hug.

Though, obviously she still wasn't convinced that I was even anywhere near okay, so she offered me a snack she bought from the stall, telling me that she won't be here to take care of me for a few days, so this is to remind me of her.

Man, I never felt better after so many days of what seems to be endless suffering and mental torture, all in one emotionally unstable human.

Thanks Amoi..just for being there when I needed it.

And thanks Ah Yuan..for noticing that I had unbalanced emotions and telling Amoi about it.

I guess this sums up a few things.

When Leonie gets emotionally unbalanced in school, it means that Leonie really couldn't cope anymore. 'Cos from what I'd evaluated from my own behaviour in school, I don't usually throw a tantrum or ever had a bad mood, unless I'm really sick and stressed about something or more. I normally try to keep it all in me, and put on that smile to show to everyone that I was fine. So yeah..it's quite easy actually to notice the change of emotions in me.

Another thing is, normally the people that you aren't really very close to are the ones that would really lend you a helping hand when you need it. The people that are right next to you, and said that they are willing to hear you out, you would rant at them. Too bad, the next minute you realized, it's either you're rudely interrupted or just plainly ignored by them just starting another conversation, not bothered with your difficulties and just moving on with theirs.

Last but definitely not the least..

I am fully aware it's the test season now and I'm still sitting here blogging away, not a care for the world.

Okay, fine. So maybe I do care.

So why am I blogging today, when I still have Chemistry, Math and EST tomorrow?

• I got told off by Puan Habibah for not distributing the newspapers for only ONE DAY. I admit, it is my responsibility, so maybe I do deserve it. But, I'm honestly so sick and tired of life, literally, and what more with tests and all, I got really pissed and frustrated. If it wasn't for Min Wen who persuaded me to distribute today's newspapers, I would had just left it there for Puan Habibah to settle them herself. Puan Habibah also tried to speak to me nicely in the staff room, but all I could remember was giving her loads of fake smiles and laughs. I honestly hate being a prefect, if I had a choice, I wouldn't had been one in the first place. Stupid cert.

• Apparently I was supposed to skip all my tests for today to go for debate practice in the library for the whole day. At least..that's what Fairuz and Najwa did. Guess what? I sat for the tests instead. To be really honest, even if I couldn't answer any shit in those papers and literally made myself an unofficial historian by rewriting the definitions of all the history terms that were tested in this test and making up my own history as well for the entire subjective section, I felt comfortable sitting in class surrounded by familiar faces rather than facing a very furious Miss Nav, Sherylee and Nicole. Why wouldn't Fai and Najwa be mad at me? Well..only they know the real reason about me backing out from the main team among the rest of them debate people. So yeah, I think I can count on them.

Speaking of Miss Nav, she hasn't been letting me off this easy.

Since The Huge Drama I had with her after having her cornering and ranting at me in the school's parking lot, with both students and teachers witnessing it all at the same time, I can tell you, my self-esteem had gone from bad to worse. I'd never felt good about myself debating, knowing I'm not a smooth talker like Nicole, or fierce and sharp like Sherylee, nor have the professionalism of Najwa who's an experienced speaker and Fai who's really calm and concise when she speaks. I'm not very spontaneous either, and the way I speak and how I present myself while speaking is atrociously rude and insanely horrible. I also am the main reason why we almost lost to SDJ till Nicole saved us from the losing end by bringing us up by 3 points with her wonderful reply speech. I'm the worst speaker in the team, and if only Sherylee could join the main team but all because her parents don't allow her to join debate this year, she wouldn't had to choose me.

And believe it or not, Miss Nav said all of that to me. Right to my face.
I mean, I'm this bad, so yeah, what's the point on me staying on?

At one point after The Huge Drama, I considered staying on in the team for the sake of the cert. But, other things just had to happen. Family problems occurred (No further elaboration here. If you're really a friend and you do care about me, ask me yourself. PATY.) and transport to and from school would be an issue. I can't stay back as often as what debate really requires and I really don't want to trouble my family anymore, especially my mum. Who's practically working her brains out till she's pretty worn out and really stressed by the end of the day. I really don't want to add to her troubles either, so yeah, I didn't go for Sunday's debate meeting 'cos this all began on the same day.

Next day in school, I was pretty much brain dead, sleeping for only..2 hours? I couldn't bear with the exhaustion and decided to come clean with Miss Nav. I told her the truth and that I wanted to pull out from debate because I'm honestly worried I cannot give her the full commitment she wants from her debators.

Instead, she didn't let me pull out first. She only replied that we'll have to wait for Sherylee.

Right then, when Sherylee came up to the library, Miss Nav asked her to be the team's third speaker, replacing me. And I admit, I was slightly relieved as I thought I can put debate behind me for this year, not endure Miss Nav's continued criticism on me and me only and comparing me to the other speakers, and get on with life, try to study, and work on other things that doesn't require this much commitment.

You know what?


As per usual.

Miss Nav made me the reserve instead.

I wanted to tell her no, but before I could say anything, she just moved on by bringing up the motion for the round against Convent.

And there was me.

Those few seconds of freedom, gone.

In a flash, in a snap.

I didn't go for another debate meeting after that, till the day of the semi-finals. I saw Miss Nav in the morning when I was sorting out the newspapers, and she merely told me to inform Najwa and Fai to go to the hall straight away after the morning assembly.

Fine, I just passed her message like she asked me to.

So, I went for classes like usual. Approximately two hours later, a girl came up and told me that Miss Nav wanted me at the hall. NOW.

I knew very well what to expect.

More rantings?

More criticism?

More biasness?

Lots were going through my head at that time.

And there she was in the hall.

First thing when she saw me, here comes those words.

Miss Nav : Leonie, where had you been?? I told you to come down at 7.30AM!! Where were you??
Leonie : (trying to tell her she DIDN'T tell me to come down at all, but seeing that she was furious and knowing that I'm on the losing side, since she hated me so much, I decided on another excuse.) I had to see Puan Hajah Afrinah and a few other teachers just now.

Truth : I did see Puan Hajah Afrinah okay. She was coming in for History just as the girl came up to call me. So I told her I had to leave the class for debate, and she was asking me all sorts of questions like who was our next opponent. I told her it's going to be Convent, and she was really supportive in a way, telling me all the best and what not and said that she really hoped that we can beat Convent at long last after losing to them few years in a row. About the few other teachers part, I am telling the truth indirectly. Not see the few other teachers as in they had matters they wanted to discuss with me, but more to I saw the teachers teaching me in class :x

Miss Nav : Seeing Puan Hajah Afrinah took you two hours?? That long?? Are you sure??
Leonie : *tries to retaliate and defend myself, but..*
Miss Nav : Leonie, are you still a part of this team?? Are you abandoning the team?? You see, everybody is working so hard except for YOU.
Inner Leonie : Oh what the freak, I already told you before, dearest teacher, that I couldn't give my full commitment to debate like before, so I volunteered to pull out since I was that useless to the team and besides, you had the third speaker you wanted back in the team again. What do you gain from me staying on in the team? And you're accusing ME?? Oh yearh, you freaking didn't tell me I had to be at the hall!! So there!

There's more after that, but I decided not to type them here as it would seem like I'm a huge Sherylee-hater or something. For your information, especially to some of the Form 5 seniors in my school that think I'm such a problematic human which a lot of you dislike, I don't hate her. I merely treat her as a senior. That's all. It doesn't mean I have to be all buddy-buddy with her and win her favour to be my friend. If this is offensive to you guys, I sincerely apologize, but when you guys talk about me that way, I get offended too okay. I have feelings too, in case y'all happen to not know.

Okay, back to the main topic. Before any of you judge me on what I wrote about Miss Nav..

Miss Nav might want to keep me as the reserve because :

1. Of The Good. She didn't want my previous effort in the team to be wasted, as I had and did spoke in the first two rounds we went through, so she wanted me to stay for the cert's sake.
   
2. Of The Bad. She's only going to keep me in to find stats, edit scripts, think of possible POIs, find more stats, and then crack my skull thinking of possible POIs. Or she might just need a pushover, aka yours truly, to be her frequent punching bag whenever she's pissed or stressed out.
3. OF BOTH.

Frankly, I say it's the third option.

Okay, for The Good, I thank you. And that's about it.

The Bad?

You're not the only one who'll get stressed out. You're not the only one who needs to rant. You're not the only one who wants us to be the champs for this debate competiotion. You're not the only one who has so much work to do in school. You're not the only one who'll get angry and pissed.

And if you really wanted Sherylee in the team in the first place, why even bothered picking me, the useless debator who's nothing but a burden then?

I admit, Sherylee is better than me, I had never denied it. But you're just making me feel worse about myself, and not any better, knowing very well being in the English debate team is quite an honour.

I'm sorry, but I feel very caged with you around, and frankly, I have no idea on how to survive with you for another two years in this school with you.

Say what? Joining debate next year?

Definitely, I don't know what the future holds for me, but for now, and my mind is quite made up. If this year's chaos and hectic life is going to be similar to 2010, my answer would be..



And, if you people think I'm just being a selfish idiot who only cares about myself, I can assure you I'm not.

You guys might think, "Hey, Miss Nav might be criticizing you to help you improve, knowing you have potential, etc.," the likes.

Yearh, right.

Criticize me alone?

Blame it on me alone?

I admit, I make mistakes. All humans err. But everybody else in the team seem so perfect in her eyes, and I just feel like trash.

Owh, I hear more.

"Miss Nav might be treating you this way, but you're just being weak by whining about it. This should be something to help you be stronger about such comments. And you're giving up debate for someone like her? It's not worth it."

But hell yeah, I think it's really worth it. If I can even get my arse out of the debating arena.

At least I don't throw a temper when I'm moody or tired or stressed at other people and make them feel bad about themselves at the same time.

Finals against SSI tomorrow, and I don't even know whether I'm still in the team or not, since I had been outrageously sick these past few days and had been unavailable when Miss Nav had been calling me. On my phone, yesh.

I rather not, but yeah, if I'm still in, I have to face Miss Nav and Sherylee and Nicole all day.

Definitely not looking forward to that at all.

Life sucks, and hardly anybody can understand.

Yippee.

Let it be. I'm so tired already..

I need a place for me to pour out too.

Lately I had been falling sick so often. On and off fever, the flu. I blame it all on the current stress level I'm at now. With a very unstable emotional side of me all locked up, nobody to confide the full story in.

Everybody just judges a book by its cover, without reading the book first.

In any case, yours truly is proud to announce here that she'd FINALLY finished her three long overdue Chemistry essays from Mr Lim's class.

Took me quite some time there, goodness gracious.

And it's almost 2AM, and I have Chemistry and Add Math tuition later in the morning.

Oh gawd, I'm so going to fall asleep in class again, I swear.

And with this movie tag, what can be summarized is as of the following:

• Yes, apparently this tag it says that whoever that watched more than 100 movies don't have a life, but I personally think that I'm the one who don't have a life 'cos I watched less than 100 movies. But yeah, honestly there's loads of movies I'd watched but they ain't listed here, so yeah.

• I seriously dislike horror movies, due to my own powerful imagination. By rights all of them should not even have any X's at all. I watched Child's Play in primary school and I'd officially been traumatized by dummies and creepy looking dolls ever since. Seed of Chucky was on at my aunt's house years ago when I was around eight I think, and apparently, all of my cousins enjoyed it except me. I nearly cried. I actually watched a little of Bride of Chucky, but since I didn't finished watching it..In any case, I watched Shutter last year on the way to KL for the Bon Odori trip, and for gawd's sake it was freaking 4AM at that time. Thank goodness for the people called friends, especially Jasmine Ho who was sitting right next to me. Watched Anaconda 2: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid with my dad on Channel 5, so that wasn't as scary as I thought. Just the way that snake gobbles people up, that's gross. And I don't get at all why is The Mask a horror / gore movie. It's a comedy in my opinion. Lol. Basically..I hate watching horror movies. Period. No offense to horror fans out there.

Where the pace of reality..
is at the speed of light.
Another week had gone by, and it's already April, goodness gracious indeed.

I have a very packed schedule, no thanks to homework, tuition, school obligations and trying to get some air from being in this cage of almost sixteen years. Cai Ling dearie would clearly know what I mean.

And I just realized that since 2009 started, or maybe since a long time ago, my blog entries mainly revolve around the fact that I'm damn tired / frustrated / annoyed / miserable / exhausted because of homework / tuition / school duties / more homework.

I know, my life sounds pathetically boring and uninteresting at this juncture.

Hence, this proves enough that yours truly can never be the next ultimate blogger, due to very not news-worthy blog entries.

Pfffft. Saddening indeed.

Therefore, Leonie also highly doubts getting the UrbanBomb Award for Best Blog from hers truly Veena Banana for the year 2009 as well.

I seriously need a sane mind, sane life, and sane self to get myself back into the blogging mood again.

Meanwhile, Convent's 22nd IU last Friday was pretty AWESOME. A job well done to the Interactors of CIC JB (:

I should also mention it was nice seeing all the familiar faces again, and the surprise was really sweet as well. Thanks Karyn and Farhan [:

Today..was another great day with friends. And this certain individual as well, who never fails to be there for me when I'm at the lowest of lows. Sincerest thanks =) Though I'm still pretty convinced I'm doomed. Lol.

Also, I'm super proud of the drama team. You guys did a great job working your arses and frying your brains for the competition, and spending time together as a team is what matters. I'm really proud of y'all aye :]

Congrats to SMK Sri Tebrau for getting second placing in the competition. This is to you, Miss Karyn xD

By the way, thanks to Fio and Stepho for the Kinder Bueno ;)

With Fio asking me what I want for my birthday, I suddenly realized..

I'm not all that sure either.

So, while I get to work on a wishlist, stay tuned to this utterly boring blog!

Revenge sure is SWEET.
Going for Add Math and BM classes before succumbing to debate practice really made my day.

What with Ah Yuan trying to prank the whole class, and failing miserably at that XD

With us making a fuss in BM class over some spelling errors.

Even if it's April Fool's Day, I didn't get fooled at all =)

Spending time with my AWESOME 4SC1 kawans are all that matters to me now (:

Not going for classes three weeks in a row really made me realized how much I missed so far.

And to you my dear, you know who you are.

Don't worry about me.
'Cos for you I will.
