Reminiscence II.

One of the few pictures I first took during RYLA last year.
Those who went for RYLA at Kota Tinggi before would find this place familiar.
Hint : Strong winds, sea breeze, fresh air, and free Pantene ads.
(:

I got the info for RYLA '09, and I'm so darn tempted to go!

It's the only time when I get to go crazy and just be myself. It's also where I learnt to be myself.

If you're on Facebook, you might be seeing all that RYLA talk and all those memories that resurfaced. Talking about the good times never fail to make me smile. (:

It would be a great avenue to reconnect with the previous awesome RYLA-rians that are going again, and also I won't say no to new awesome friends! :D

Okay, but I'm still stuck in the dilemma of stupid December tuition classes for SPM next year. Ugh! Definitely ruining my plans.

And no, I can't postpone them to January. It's Omega we're talking about, and I doubt my parents will let me miss even one class. I was only lucky that all my classes for this year that started in December last year were AFTER RYLA. That was only why I could go, and definitely, no regrets. ;)

Can the stupid timetable for Omega next year be released already? It'll be easier if I choose all my classes earlier, so I can plan ahead. Whether it's yes, or a no.

Hopefully it's a definite YES!! *keeps fingers crossed*

*****
By the way, Happy Halloween y'all! And a happy sweet sixteen to Manmit! (:

Disabled.

I swear, Physics will most probably take my brain to the top of some multi-storied building, then drop it to the ground at 123456 km/h and will rebound back when it reaches the ground at 123456 km/h.

I don't even care whether that makes sense or not, because..

Physics never did made any sense to me.

Three days of finals are done and over with.

I have been trying to refrain from going online till finals are over, but as you can see, I'm blogging here right now.

All because it's English 1 and 2 tomorrow. Heh.

But the second week of finals will be 'the bomb'.

Harharharharharharhar.

Last class with Mr Kung tomorrow. Sheesh, this is depressing, even if the subject deals with a lot of facts.

Might only be blogging after week two is over.

Meanwhile, I have a Cak performance to look forward to. Puan Yew said there's a high chance we might get paid. Heheh. Though I don't really care for the fee. I honestly love playing Cak. It's one of the main reasons why I'm still hanging on in this 'prestigious cluster school'.

Cheers!

We Broke the Record.

She got up this morning, to prep up for school.

She checked her phone, as it was her routine every morning when she wakes up.

There's a new message.

She opened it.

It was from an unsaved number.

She read on.

The message stated that her friend's father had passed away.

She stared at her phone in disbelief.

She checked the time she received that message.

"3.41AM."

She read the message several times over, till she could memorize the main contents of the very same message.

While having her breakfast, she was still thinking about the message she received.

Wondering whether it was a prank, she thought the joker went overboard, but secretly, she hoped it was a prank, all the same.

If it was a prank, it certainly wasn't funny. Nor humourous in any way.

Still a prank she hoped it was.

She told her mother about it.
Her mother had said, "Life is unpredictable, so you should be more open-minded and let the bad memories go. Keep no grudges, and learn to forgive. Live life to the fullest, for you never know when you'll breathe your last, nor how you'll live your very last moment as the identity you are born with."
She was getting teary-eyed, but she kept it all in when she reached the school gates.

She started asking her other friends whether they had received a similar message. Both said no.

She went off to seek the truth about the message that had been in her thoughts since morning.

She had that slight glimmer of hope thinking that the message could be a prank.

She saw the rest of her classmates, with one of them telling them something, while the others showed expressions of shock.

She rushed to her classmate that announced the news, and she finally knew the truth she was looking for.

It was no prank.

All of a sudden, the world crashed on her.

She just broke down right there, without a care for her tears that people can see, always making it a point to not do so if possible, as she thought that shedding tears made her look like a coward and a weakling.

No, she didn't give a damn.

All she could think of was the upset, shock, pain, sadness that her friend was going through at that very moment.

The whole morning was a bleak one indeed.

The absence of her friend was obvious, and the other classmates were silent for a change.

When it was announced that Monday is going to be a holiday, the majority of the students cheered and screamed for joy.

Smiles were seen everywhere among the crowd.

But for her who was standing near her classmates, the mood then was highly the opposite of the current situation.

Same goes for the prefects that were stationed at different places nearby.

After assembly was over, she entered her class, only to find that for the first time, the class was nearing complete and utter silence.

Everybody was aware of what's going on. Most were mourning for their friend's loss.

Throughout the day, tears were shed.

Words were exchanged.

Issues were discussed heatedly.

Lessons were ignored.

Homework were left aside.

The day was bleak indeed.

But slowly, she and her classmates are aware, that some things cannot be forced, as much as they wanted to do so.

In the end, she too had realised.

That life is too short, and moping about what happened wasn't going to help.

All she can do now is to be there for her friend, like what she had been doing all this while for her as well.

*****
It's been quite a day for most of us.

Name of said friend shall not be mentioned to protect her privacy, even if this is huge news in school already.

Not to mention that a whole load of schoolmates are going to be in deep trouble for what they did this morning.

Jia Ying just texted me saying that she's alright, but from what I read, she needs to hibernate and sleep for two days straight, quote Farah.

A panda in a green baju kurung is what she looked like, quote Jia Ying.

I can only hope that with time, she and her family can heal from this sudden tragedy. And yes, tragedy is the word I'm using here.

Bless them all.

And of course, thank you to Anna, Cassan, Amoi, Ah Yuan, Guppy, Jia Ying and Salmi. And yes, to Azri for the tissue. And to anybody that I missed out. You know who you are.

It's nearly trend-like that I'm thanking a list of classmates for every time something major occured, particularly this year.

It's just because..this year particularly sucks.

But it's also just because..this particular year rocks as well.

Just because..I had been blessed with great friends and great classmates that are there for me in times of both happy and sad, crazy and depressed, worried and upset, frustrated and sadistic, oh yes.

*****
2009 is nearly coming to an end.

What awaits us in the coming year, or even the coming weeks, is just waiting to spring at us at the specified times.

Till then, please let me stay with these awesome people, and my considerably awesome life that I still never fail to worry and whine about, till time really calls for the worst.

"Follow your bliss, y'all."

She Woke Up from the Right Side of her Bed This Morning.

Near the band room at 7.00am today, you can see seven people sitting in a circle just talking and chatting about everyday topics.

All of them are classmates. They would be Jia Ying, Sarah, Anna, Azri, Min Wen, Fatin and yours truly.

In the middle of their conversation..

Pn Hjh Afrinah : 'Morning girls!
*conversation comes to a sudden halt, while yours truly was still babbling about something in Chinese.*
Leonie : *turns around and see Pn Hjh Afrinah*
Inner Leonie : Oh hawt damn. I'm in deep shit.
(Explaination : Why is yours truly in deep shit? Because I had a broken a rule, though it is a rule that isn't mentioned often, but you're only allowed to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia in the school compound.)
*very short silence*
Pn Hjh Afrinah : Relaks ah girls! Dah exam ke hari ini? *chuckles, smiles at the group, then walks away.*
Classmates : ...
Classmate A : Is she okay?
Classmate B : Had something possessed her?
Classmate C : Is she out of her mind?
Classmate D : I know! This morning, mesti her husband bagi her a kiss on her cheek!
Classmate E : No la! Somebody made breakfast for her just now!
Classmate F : *something about her children making her breakfast earlier.*
Leonie : I honestly thought she was going to kill me for speaking Chinese!
Classmate A : She must have thought we were studying early in the morning. See, Sarah and Leonie have their books open.
Leonie : Wait, she told us to relax right? *closes History textbook.* Then let us all 4 Science 1 kids fail our finals together! *tosses book away.*
Some Classmates : Deal!
Other Classmates : *laughs along.*
Azri : So the seven people here, are witnesses to this statement by Puan Hjh Afrinah.

*****
I don't want to assume who said what, since I was pretty lost in the commotion, I was really paying attention to who said what. I remembered Anna saying something about the kids and husband though. Haha!

As for Azri, she said something similar to that, but I don't think it's her exact dialogue. Lol.

But what's most important is definitely this.

The morning started off with a rare awesome moment shared by seven awesome classmates.

Here and There.

Okay, just a short update before I crawl back to homework and attempt to study for mock SPM, aka finals.

All the best and lucks to all the third formers taking their PMR tomorrow onwards! Oh gawd, I actually complained loads regarding the syllabus for lower secondary, when upper secondary is killing me, slowly for surely, 'cos it's way harder, plus there's more things to learn, understand and memorise! My brain is coming to its end, veeeery soon.

I suck at Accounts. And it makes me very upset to see my mum trying to teach me some steps which I cannot seem to understand, which then causes my mum to be very frustrated, annoyed, irritated, upset, you know, the works.

I'm still working on my blogskin, which is the reason why I don't update often anymore. It serves a purpose you know! To motivate me to blog more often, that's why!

And it's hard to find nice skins nowadays. Even if there are nice skins, loads of people would had already been using it, and I want a unique and special skin that screams ME.

For Chemistry class today, we did an experiment to form copper(II) nitrate crystals from nitric acid and copper(II) oxide. I loved the shiny royal blue colour! And I think most of them classmates would agree. (:

Even Cik Mahani said our group, consisting of Anna, Azri, Salmi (Salmon), Anith (Salted Fish), Gup, Jia Ying, Liyana and most certainly me, had the nicest crystals in the class, since we actually skipped part of BM to get them darn crystals already! It was worth it, we all had a great time taking pictures thanks to Alya's awesome camera that croaks. Literally. xD

I want those pictures from Alya!

Jia Ying's Mocha certainly got a whole lot of attention today! It's so soft, cute, ah-dorable.. x]

If you see a new blogskin, it means I'll be blogging pretty often.

If not, I'm most probably going on a hiatus till finals are over.

Cheers!

PS : Thank you so much Dee, for listening to me. You rock darls. ;)
