Rah Rah Ooh La La!

Hello readers! If I still have any anyway.
Missed me didn't 'cha? :P

I know I had been missing in action for a looooooong time, I needed a hell load of thinking time, and life's been really busy-making for me. There's tons of emotions to be sorted out too, I'm think I'm growing more childish as I turn older with every ticking second. That is not a good thing.

So far I had exams going on, and I have one whole week to go before I can gain my freedom again - which is only temporary, really. Till the most dreaded event of the year called SPM 2010 is over.

I attended Fio's birthday party, and I met up with so many of the darlings again! Oh gawd, I seriously miss them like heck! Got to know some new friends as well like Vincent, and I got reacquainted with an old friend all the way from art class, Dawn! Who happens to be Fiona's best friend since primary school! It's meant to be that we meet again after about five years! ;D

Figure out who's who. ;)
It's not that hard.

One of the gifts that the teachers from Tomita High School had presented to us had been found! I will return it to the school, really! But not until I had taken some awesome pictures this little piece of awesomeness.

Somebody get me a kaleidoscope for my birthday, pretty pretty please? :3

And, all those practices and screwing up exams with the same song going on and on in our heads while attempting to finish up some of the most ridiculous papers are all worth it. I turned Japanese for a day, and it's one day I'll find it hard to forget. :)

Major credits to Chee-sensei for dressing me up in this. (:

Before we took one of the most unforgettable videos of our moments in high school. :]

Flowers never fail to remind me of her. ;)
And she only slept for one hour just to get the video done!
Which is just so awesome, I don't know how to describe how awesome it was!
Miss Anna Sabrina did an awesome job,
all of us did.
Kudos to the rest of us!
Nadwa, Salmi, Irene, Jasmine, Shera, and Fairuz!

I have a lot to blog about, but time is really something I could never handle well, so the blogging has to wait.

Till a better time, stay alive and love Mother Earth! (Which reminds me, did YOU turn off your lights for Earth Hour yesterday?)

So many March babies! Hope y'all had/will have a great birthday! ;D

"going back to my roots."

Perfectly Imperfect.

  • Might change my blogskin.
  • Might deactivate my Facebook account.
  • Might hop on a bus to KL and hide there for a few days.
  • Might send myself to the nearest mental hospital.
  • Might lock myself in my room and never come out.
  • Might put myself to sleep permanently so I can escape the cruel dimension called reality.
  • I'm a coward and a disorganized freak.
  • I feel useless.
  • I ponder over my existence.
  • It's hard to be happy.
  • Is being happy so hard to achieve?
  • I don't know anymore.
  • I'm unmotivated, I don't have a strong enough reason to work for.
  • So SPM is basically a goner for me.
  • Argh I hate it when I feel like this.
  • It's certified.
  • I'm a freak bitch, baby.

Electrifying Excellence.

Read the Sunday section below to understand the inspiration behind this picture.

Summary of what has been going on with my life for the past few days. (:

Thursday, 4th March 2010.

Basically, my next line would be something common you might have heard from other fifth formers my age.

My last Sports Day as a student had just came and went, just like that.

I lost my gloves right after marching. God knows why I was so upset over a pair of gloves.

Maybe I’m just a sucker for items of sentimental values.

Note: That pair of gloves used to be my brother’s. I had always used his gloves whenever I took part in marching. So yearh.

In any case, we got second place for marching, as I had already stated in my previous entry.

Thankfully, while I’m still the vice-captain for Green House this year, I’m just really glad we didn’t get last place. (:

A major mess-up with the food for the Green House members happened. The teacher had clearly ordered chicken Ramly burgers for everyone. Unfortunately, only beef burgers were to be seen. Great.

Hung out with the band girls with Gurpreet. Had fun with all them seniors, aka our batch. Sarah played Anna’s birthday song on her flute, I’ll upload that on Facebook soon. ;)

The Japanese students that were there did two dances, and seriously, they got a lot of attention, considering their dance was pretty simple. Just imagine SIGS-ians dancing like that. Most probably they’ll get booed at.

Gup with the cool bling-ed frames from Blue House.
She actually looked nice with it.
Unlike me. LOL.

In the end, we sang the school song in an obnoxiously loud manner before heading back home.

Friday, 5th March 2010.

I was one of the MCs with Hazel, and I was given a script in Japanese, which I gratefully thank Chee-sensei for.

And to those who asked, yes, I retyped my script in Romaji form because if I stuck to Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji for the event, I would had probably embarrassed myself and the school. I rather not risk anything.

Especially when we have international guests!

Apparently, I sounded convincing to our Japanese visitors, especially the teachers.

Because in between breaks, all four of them approached me in some way or another, speaking to me in fluent Japanese.

Only God knows what they were talking about.

But they were very encouraging, especially Yumiko-sensei. She’s an English teacher, and she kept on finding time to talk to me throughout the day. She’s really nice and encouraging, she would be the only one smiling and nodding at me every time I’m up there speaking Japanese.

I needed the reassurance, so a big domou arigatou gozaimasu to Yumiko-sensei. :)

During their tour around the school, I was in the music room all along. Anna played the piano and sang to Angela Aki’s Sakurairo and Tegami. The Japanese girls were impressed! Proud of you, Anna-chan! ;)

Besides, a common interest was found. We all went ‘Angela Akiiiiiii!!’ at the same time. xD

It was an unforgettable moment when I played the gereteh accompanied by Hazel with the tingkah, Pn Rozi and even one of the senior teachers from Japan playing the gendang! Nearly all of our guests were there, and the applause was just..amazing. I never felt so good about myself and the performance itself after such a long time. :]

I didn’t have a partner, because I was one of the MCs. But I managed to talk to most of the students, and of course, Yumiko-sensei kept me company. Though most of the time, I have no idea what she was saying. I just nodded, and smiled. Think they were the appropriate responses, since she didn’t say anything negative. :D

I’ll miss this day. A lot.

Had a long talk with Izz before class started. Thanks man. I really needed to rant all these pent-up emotions. (:

Saturday, 6th March 2010.

Gurpreet, Xin Yun and I went to Convent to celebrate Thinking Day. We waited for ages at school, being told to wait at the porch before 7.30AM, and what do you know.

We left for Convent around 8.00AM. =.=

The first thing we were told when we reached there?

“SIGS has been very selfish for the past 10 years!”

Long story, never mind about that.

I remembered panicking over the V-shaped formation we were supposed to do, but thankfully that ended well.

Luckily I still remembered how to sing the World Song as well.

If Miss Low was there, I wouldn’t be typing this entry right now. Seriously.

I saw Jeanette! ;D And also Rebecca.

Rachel looked pretty freaked out that I knew quite a lot about her. Haha, sorry for the unnecessary shock.

And now, I finally know who is the Florence Natalie had been telling me about! Took pictures with all of them. :D

My group members for games were just as awesome!
Knots, Bing Bong and the HaHa game.
Really sporting people we had there. (:

Had fun at Convent, really. It had been a looooong time since I had fun at a Girl Guide event. Never regretted for attending.

It would had been more fun if Sham was there!

Before tuition, things were pretty hectic, since Gup, Khai, Jia Ying and I went to Pelangi and came back in, 15 minutes before classes started.

Khai even brought me around to see the wedding gowns that were on display. Major loves.

I still can’t believe I made it back in time.

Oh yeah, Khai gave me invaluable advice on how to cross the road from Pelangi back to Omega, and vice versa. I need more help before I can learn how to do that by my own. ;)

Sunday, 7th March 2010.

Six hours of tuition, and also the day that I could not make it to Paramore’s concert. Damn it.

Mr Lim called me something really random during Chemistry class.

”Leonie-Cat.”

And he even repeated it three more times.

Goodness gracious.

And I got mistaken for wearing a couple tee with somebody from my Add Math tuition. Gee, thanks a lot, Cassan and Min Wen. =.=

Physics after that, was electrifying. No kidding!

I like Mr Lee’s classes a lot, just because he teaches in a fun way and all of us really get to bond in his class.

Like how all the girls were positively charged and the guys were negatively charged that day. We all felt this electrifying sensation right after Khai let go of that wire thingy. Oh my gawd, freaky much! But still awesome shiatz. ;D

Shahirah, my former seatmate from SMK PJ 2 in now in the same Physics class as me! After four years of not seeing each other face to face, it was seriously a reunion. (:

For my own good, I had been thinking about it.

I might be going on a permanent hiatus for this blog of mine till SPM is over.

Maybe the occasional Facebook-ing, MSN, and Tumblr.

We'll see.

Till then, cheers!

Blinged Frames.

I'm seriously exhausted.

But I honestly cannot believe it's already my last Sport's Day in SIGS as a student.

Then again, it's because I already have plans to attend as a high school graduate next year, hopefully with Gup and Jia Ying. Anybody is free to join us. (:

We got second place for marching. Apparently we got first, but also apparently something went wrong with the scoring, so the points got recalculated and KRS got first instead. Oh well, we all know who are the real champions. ;)

We practiced hard and turned mocha brown for these few minutes. I'm proud of everyone. And good for Gurpreet. From last place to first runner-up, it's really a major leap. Guess Miss Low will be happy as well. Hopefully. :]

As for my Green House girls, all of us did our best. I wouldn't say the same for the cheer girls who conveniently disappeared and left the rest to suffer in shame. But yeah, at least we didn't get last! I'm really happy for that fact alone.

I'll be back next year to check things out. That's one promise I would want to keep.

We'll see how things will turn out next year.

I lost my gloves right after marching today. Sucked, but I think I got over it. I'm a real idiot for items of sentimental values. Because that pair of gloves used to be my brother's. I actually cried over that.

Sarah, Gup and I finally understood what you meant by the big surprise. Awesome stuff you guys did. I love the puppet dance! xD

It was nice hanging out with the band girls before the ending ceremony with Gup as well. (: Me ♥ you peeps lots. I always feel accepted and really comfortable around you guys. (':

Very few pictures, but got a couple of low quality videos. Will upload them on Facebook. If not, Youtube it is.

MC-ing with Hazel tomorrow. I shall be speaking in Japanese.

I am praying so hard that I can pull off a Japanese accent and actually make friends with them Japanese students and keep in contact with them. More pictures too. (:

Goodnight world, and have a good night's sleep!

'Cause it had been continuous nightmares for me.

Keep Falling Down.

There weren't any flowers at the Speaker's Corner this morning when I arrived in school.

It turned out that the rest of them who did bring flowers were holding on to them, as they would be attending Pn Tee's funeral, and would like to personally hand over the flowers themselves.

As least, that's what I thought, anyway.

We came out of assembly halfway to get ready to board the bus. My heart goes out to Tan Li Cheng, Chiah Ka Hui, Gan, Hui Dong and Yong Jia. They weren't allowed to attend the funeral at the very last second all because they were involved with raptai.

All they wanted was to pay their last respects, and even that right was snatched away from them.

It's really heart-wrenching to see them looking really upset, and I felt guilty I couldn't just drag them to the bus with the rest of us.

Gurpreet couldn't go as well. Jia Ying, didn't know about it. Doubt she can go anyway since she'll most probably end up the same way as the aforementioned group of juniors.

Kat made it in the end. Good for her.

The journey was pretty long and far. On the way, I passed by two Chinese graveyards and I couldn't help but feel nervous that we might be getting off the bus soon. I wasn't prepared of what to say to Pn Tee in my prayers yet then..

Xin Yun was solemn all the way. I know she's really upset. All of us are.

The funeral rites went on smoothly, thankfully. There's a lot I would want to confide here in this blog, but I think not. I wouldn't be respecting our late teacher if I did that.

But it was painful to hear the coffin being nailed shut.

To see the plants with hanging Chinese New Year decorations on them right next to where the funeral took place.

To finally hear Pn Tee's eldest son who cried out for his mum when the coffin was being carried away.

It was..just plain saddening.

It pains me more to know that her children are so young, and her husband sobbing uncontrollably there..

Who could blame him? His wife's life was cruelly ended in such a manner. I abhor that lorry driver. It's called a car accident for a reason, but all because he didn't adhere to the rules..

An innocent life was taken.

A mother was taken from her children, a wife was snatched from her husband, her parents without their beloved daughter, family members losing their relative, students losing a dedicated and patient teacher, the school who lost a great employee.

And hence, ends the life of a dearly loved schoolteacher. She shall be deeply missed.

Amitabha.
