Trust and Friends?

Lesson learnt :

Do not be too chummy with your friends.
It's best that you are friends,
just remember to not be too close.
Do not confide in your friends any of your deepest darkest secrets.
In the end, you'll still be the one losing out.
When they go, "Oops, it's an accident.
I didn't mean to blurt it all out.
Will you forgive me?"

And this will be the time when you should say,
"NO."
Why?
Because you know that trust isn't something that you can simply give to any random human.
Even your friends that you have now.
When trouble breaks out,
you'll realize that you're alone in this battle.

One more thing :
If there's anybody that stays by your side when something spells T.R.O.U.B.L.E.,
that's what you call a TRUE FRIEND.
That's the person you can confide in,
the truths, the facts,
the secrets, the doubts,
the heartbreaks, the scars,
the joy, the laughter,
your love, your happiness.

Do not just trust anybody that you know of.
For you might never know,
a knife is just positioned right behind your back,
awaiting the fine chance to stab you viciously,
without a warning,
without a clue.

And when you suffer from that pain,
you'll be thinking,
one word to summarize the bloody wound that you'd gotten,
after the time spent thinking you had a friend in him or her,
"Why..?"
Before you collapse to the ground and die not knowing.

So, with that.
Pick your friends carefully.
Plan your steps wisely.
Think before speaking.
Act on your guard.
Trust your instinct.
When something's bad..

It's Bad.

*****
I'd committed the mistake over and over again of trusting my friends and forgiving them too easily.

Let me just say this, clear and loud in this blog, with you readers as my witnesses.

I forgive quite easily.
But forget?

That shall never happen.
