Had raptai at Stadium Larkin earlier.

For the past three years of me studying in SIGS, I had never attended a second raptai at the stadium, what more participate in any running events.

This year is way different.

Since I managed to finish 100m before 17 seconds, Pn. Norma asked me whether I would want to take part in any of the running events this year.

So with the help of Evonne, who's much more experienced than me in choosing events, since she was a runner from last year, I sort of let her decide for me which events to take part in, and I ended up in 400m and 800m.

Then, I became the reserve for 400m and took over somebody's place in 800m.

And without knowing it, I just knew yesterday that the 800m event was today, and not Saturday after marching.

Went to the stadium in En. Mahadi's cool car that was imported from Japan with Farah Izyan, Nazlin aka Polar Bear, Hui Mei, Qi Xuan and Evonne.

Fell asleep on the way there. Random fact, I like to sleep in cars. Hahah.

Did my thang there and got fifth out of eight runners. Evonne came in fourth. Wasn't so bad since it's my first time running I guess, though I knew I could had done better. Well, at least I was ahead of three runners who had taken part before in the previous years, so it feels like some sort of achievement I think.

And I got marks for Maimunah! Yay me! *does the London Tipton clap*

And no Abiin, Blue House aka Aminah didn't came in first at all :P

And thanks for the good luck wishes and congrats I got, they know who they are ;) Though I can't understand why there are actually nice people congratulating me even when I didn't get into the top three. I was in fifth place for gawd's sake. Is that supposed to be good? Enlighten me please.

In any case, I'd just realized I love running. Haha.

Even if it means blisters all over my feet as I ran 800m barefooted. And the tracks were freaking hot. I swear upon those blisters that the tracks scalded the soles of my feet.

I'm a noobie runner, what can I do about them now?

But..I'd learnt my lesson. Ahahahah.

And yeah, did I mention that just as I got into the car right after I reached school, I wanted to tell my parents I got fifth out of eight runners.

Coincidentally, the clock in the car showed 5:08.

Hence, the title of this post? Lol.

Note to self : Never sing aloud Akon's Right Now in front of Najwa, especially the chorus. Her overly-tainted brain will take it that you would want her to "RAPE" you immediately on the spot.

*****There was a pot luck for Pn. Syakirah today in the staff room.

Guppy, Steph and I managed to make it in due time to snap pictures of the informal event, get our interview with Pn. Syakirah ready as we were the English editors of the editorial board and stare hungrily at the food on the table.

The food smells so good, the three of us were going to drool anytime. In the end, we got nasi lemak from the teachers! Ahah, kind people! I didn't need to spend any duckets for recess! x]

I'm sorry, my brains are currently fried and my desktop is dying on me. I'm currently using my kor's laptop to blog this short entry, by the way.

The least I can do tomorrow is persuade Pn. Kartini not to collect our books? Evonne and I did get points for Green House okay. Heh.

*****Random thought.

I find it weird that I'm very close to friends that I hardly hang out with, whereas I'm drifting further away from those that I talk to most of the time.

It had been like that for a long time.

Anybody care to explain?

It’s not an English name I came up with for myself. My mother is indeed a genius in coming up with such a splendid name for me. Although my name has been unfortunately mutilated (nicknames are excluded) over the past years, full credits to my mum for my current identity.

Ironic, I know; this blog is mainly pink instead. I like all colours actually, but I find myself having an affinity to the colour green. In fact, I can safely say that green is my soul colour.

Languages, music, fashion, photography, cultures, dance, literature, writing; just about anything, really. The arts truly intrigue me, especially thought-provoking pieces. Of course, the arts play a major role in inspiring me in my everyday life.

I don’t have a favourite genre – I read any book that interests me!

I am a trained right-hander from young, since apparently being left-handed is considered ‘wrong’. Basically, I’m ambidextrous! No wonder I find it easier to air guitar using my left hand than my right; I simply relate to the arts than subjects that deal with logical thinking better, too.

A stubborn Bull I am, too. I abhor being rushed. I prefer doing matters at my own reasonable pace. I don’t particularly like changes in my routine, but I can adapt quite easily. I’m a very practical person as well. I enjoy the beautiful things in life, but that doesn’t make me shun ugliness at all. Besides, it all depends on how one perceives beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Still am, but I’m slowly learning to accept imperfection into my life. Also, I’m doing my best to erase the many expectations I have so I could one day master the art of letting go and freeing myself to simple happiness and joy.

Compared to before, I’m less dramatic nowadays. Language-wise, I attempt to blog flawlessly in English and speak proper English online with my peers. Call me a Grammar Nazi all you want, but that’s how I roll. I only converse in perfect English in formal situations and during my dramatic outbursts. Otherwise, I’m absolutely capable of communicating like the average Malaysian!

It’s a different issue altogether when you’re forced to learn for the sake of getting good grades, though. Other than that, I’m open to new information and knowledge anytime! I especially would like to learn more languages and pick up new musical instruments.

…are just some of the things I would love to do in the near future, hopefully!
